Coaching schooling competition livery

Based at Somerford Park Farm, Cheshire

Cathy Taylor

Located at the nationally renowned Somerford Park Farm, Cathy Taylor has built a successful coaching, schooling, competition and livery business where every aspect of both horse and rider needs are catered for.

Princess Anne & Cathy

The perfect mix of fun and technique, Cathy’s no nonsense approach to teaching really brings out the best in her students.

As a successful eventer herself, Cathy can coach many different disciplines including dressage, showjumping and cross country techniques.  Coaching is available to all levels of horse and rider and can be done as a 1:1 or group lesson (dependent on current Covid guidelines).

Whilst Cathy can help even the most experienced riders improve, she also has a great track record at bringing on younger or less experienced riders who are keen to further their riding skills.

Lessons can take place at your own facility or for an additional fee, can take place at the amazing facilities that Somerford Park Farm has to offer. (Please note any arena hire fees to be paid directly to Somerford).

Cathy is also able to review video footage of you and your horse in action and provide critique and areas for improvement.  Please get in touch if you are interested in this service.

Whatever your aims for your horse, we can help you get there!  We break, produce and compete horses following a carefully planned competition schedule.

We consider all aspects of your horse including diet, fitness and past experiences to develop a fully tailored training and performance programme that is specific to both you and them.

Competition livery is an all inclusive package that will allow you to enjoy all the thrills of horse ownership and watch your horse compete and progress through the exciting world of eventing.

As well as competing horses for owners, Cathy also produces and develops her own quality horses.

If you are interested in investing in a competition horse either as full or part owner, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you.

CT Equestrian currently occupy 56 stables in barns located at Somerford Park Farm in the heart of Cheshire.  Our team of 16 dedicated staff look after your horse as we do our own.

Our livery clients benefit from free use of all the amazing facilities that Somerford has to offer, including indoor and outdoor floodlit arenas, showjumps, XC jumps and the 7 mile farm ride.  We also have on-site a large saddlery, café, physio and equine veterinary practice.

We only accept horses on full livery and in addition to the facilities, your livery fees include stabling, hay/haylage, feed, year round turnout and daily equine care (mucking out, grooming, hoof picking etc).

We offer a comprehensive list of extras to ensure we look after every aspect of your horses needs.  These include riding of your horse, lungeing, clipping, plaiting, full show prep etc etc.  If your horse requires additional care as part of a medical issue or rehab, we are more than happy to offer this and are very experienced in this area.
